To spend six days and nights in silence, in a beautiful, natural setting, focused solely on the most earnest questions of the heart, is a rare and precious opportunity. This retreat is held in conversational silence. Speaking only occurs during meetings with Gangaji. In addition to two group meetings on most days, Gangaji will meet with all participants in a smaller group setting. During the week, you have an option to participate in additional supportive group activities such as video showings and chanting. Idyllically situated on the shores of pristine Lake George in New Yorkšs Adirondack Park, the Silver Bay YMCA Conference Center provides powerful support for the ever-deeper discovery of onešs true identity. Gentle mountains surround the lake to create an atmosphere of profound serenity. Ours is the only group using the 700-acre campus, which offers opportunities to stroll through the woods, float in a canoe or kayak, walk an outdoor labyrinth or sit on covered porches in rocking chairs facing the lake. The Center is one and a half hours north of Albany International Airport. For more information, visit www.silverbay.org. Camping: The nearest campground for this event is Rogers Rock, approximately ten miles from the Silver Bay campus. For more information, call 800.456.2267. Brookwood campground is slightly farther away, but offers RV accommodations and platform tent sites. For more information call 518.585.4462. Silver Bay does not permit camping on the campus.
