Gangaji
Chairperson

Gangaji held her first meetings at Esalen Institute and then in her Maui living room. With the help and dedication of volunteers and donors, the Gangaji Foundation eventually emerged to make Gangaji’s teachings available through events, books and outreach programs.

The Gangaji Foundation was formally established as a non-profit foundation in 1993, and Gangaji was made chairperson of the Board of Directors. To this day she is hands-on in her role, working closely with the Board, staff and volunteers around the world, leading the organization with her wisdom, inspiration and clarity of purpose.

Vice-Chair
Serving on Finance Subcommittee

“I saw Gangaji the first time in 1994 and fell for the transmission hook line and sinker in 1997. For me, volunteering, or being of service to others, comes right out the heart of the transmission.”

Mark began volunteering at Gangaji’s events in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1997. A steady presence there ever since, he felt “graced to have the opportunity to join the Board” in 2003. Living in Mill Valley with his beloved wife, he currently works in the municipal bond business advising local governments in California on how to issue bonds.  Email Mark

“When Margaret and I married in 2000, my vows included a promise to ‘walk in the way of the Spirit.’ When I met Gangaji in Silver Bay in 2005, she told me, ‘Let It live you.’ Now I have been given the unexpected privilege of serving on this board. Ultimately, my passion is to help create communities of love. I welcome your ideas, suggestions, criticisms, and participation in our work to that end.”

Bruce brings to the Gangaji Foundation Board of Directors a 40-year practice of leadership and organizational management. He is a senior official at the Department of Homeland Security in Washington DC. Previously, Bruce built and managed small businesses and non-profits. Bruce received his degrees from Stanford University and the University of Washington.  Email Bruce

Serving on Volunteer Subcommittee

“I ‘met’ Gangaji on public television in 2005. I was not knowingly looking for a 'path' or spiritual teacher so it was such a surprise to me that I was called so strongly to Gangaji and her invitation to ‘STOP’ and realize who I am. But, it has made all of the difference in my life.”

Margaret helped coordinate Gangaji’s visit to Washington D.C. in 2007 and co-hosts the local video group. Her work experience includes over thirty years of management and consulting in the information technology industry, working for AT&T, Boeing and Booz Allen & Hamilton. She has worked with government, private industry and not-for-profit clients. She has been responsible at the executive level for strategic planning, marketing and sales, public relations, and product and program management.  Email Margaret

“I was introduced to Gangaji through a video satsang program held in Vancouver, British Columbia over 8 years ago, her words pierced my heart, gained my attention and life has not been the same since. My approach to public relations is to tell the truth, always. When I was invited to serve on the Board of Directors for the Gangaji Foundation the fit was a natural one for me. I am in deep gratitude to Gangaji for her teachings and feel very honored to support her work so that all beings may rest in the heart of who they really are.”

Lorraine’s experience in the field of communications spans over 30 years. She began working in the industry in Sydney, Australia where she produced radio for several years. Since that time, she has worked in television production in Canada but her focus over the past ten years has been in field of public relations. Her expertise is in providing and implementing strategic communications including the development of communication plans, event management, press conferences, crisis communications, media relations and employee relations.
